The Lijiang River belongs to the Pearl River system and its origin is Maoer Mountain in Xing'an County, north of Guilin. The Lijiang River Scenic Area is a national AAAAA-level scenic spot and has the reputation of Baili Gallery. Maoer Mountain is the main peak of Yuechengling Mountain, one of the five ridges in history. It is 2238 meters above sea level and is known as the highest peak in South China. The Lijiang River is formed by the trickle under Maoer Mountain in Xing'an County. "It is the first artificial canal in China, known as the "Xing'an Ling Canal" in history. It connects the water of the Li River with the water of the Xiang River.
