Elephant Hill Scenic Area is located at the confluence of the Taohua River and the Li River in Guilin. It was designated as the city emblem of Guilin in 1995. The main attractions in the scenic area include Elephant Hill, Water Moon Cave, Elephant Eye Rock, Puxian Pagoda, Sanhua Wine Cellar, Love Island, and the Yunfeng Temple Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Revolution Site Museum. The famous Water Moon Cave of Elephant Hill contains 22 pieces of Tang and Song dynasty cultural and historical stone carvings, with 3,065 characters, making it the only water cave with the most stone carving texts from the Tang and Song dynasties. In 2013 and 2014, it was twice awarded the title of "China's Best Moon Viewing Spot" by CCTV, and in 2016, it was selected as the venue for the southern分会场 of the 2017 CCTV Spring Festival Gala (Year of the Rooster). Therefore, Elephant Hill is not only a representative of Guilin's landscapes but has also become a symbol of harmony between humans and nature in Chinese landscapes.
Fubo Hill is known as the "Guardian of the Li River." Because of its solitary posture, half resting on land and half extending into the river, every spring and summer when the river swells, its base blocks the raging waves, causing the water to reverse and swirl, giving it the power to subdue the waves. The scenic area boasts many precious plants and historical artifacts, such as the Big Iron Bell, the Thousand-Person Cauldron, and Tang dynasty Buddha statues, with the most valuable being Mi Fu's calligraphy and portrait in the Huanzhu Cave.
Diecai Hill (Folded Brocade Hill) offers a commanding view of the entire Guilin panorama. One of its four peaks, Mingyue Peak, is the highest in the urban area, with a relative height of 73 meters. The hill is formed by layers of colorful rocks piled up like pearls and jade, hence the name Diecai Hill. Halfway up the hill, there is a unique wind cave containing 178 stone carvings and 24 niches with 98 statues. Examples include Marshal Chen Yi's inscription: "Willing to be a Guilin native, unwilling to be an immortal," and the Qing dynasty "Longevity" (寿) character carving by Guo Sijing. As the saying goes, passing through the wind cave mouth lets you live to 99, and climbing Diecai Hill lets you live past 130. From the summit, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Guilin and appreciate the artistic conception of "where mountains and rivers meet." The combination of natural scenery and cultural heritage showcases the essence of Guilin.
Two Rivers and Four Lakes: This refers to the Guilin ring city water system composed of Rong Lake, Shan Lake, Gui Lake, Mulong Lake, the Li River, and the Taohua River. It is the most beautiful ring city scenic belt in the center of Guilin. Water tours in Guilin began in the Tang dynasty and flourished in the Song dynasty. 2. Elephant Trunk Hill Scenic Area has been free to enter since January 31, 2022. Entry can be arranged on-site by scanning a QR code to make a reservation. When making the reservation, the real-name identity information of each visitor must be filled in. Please enter through Gate 1 or Gate 3 of Elephant Hill Scenic Area; Gate 2 is the exit.
3. Height requirements for Two Rivers and Four Lakes Scenic Area boat tickets:
Boat Tickets
1) Infants under 1 year old: Free ticket, no separate seat occupancy.
2) Children aged 1 year or older and under 1.2 meters in height: Day tour route ticket price is 30 RMB/person, night tour route ticket price is 60 RMB/person, all requiring a separate seat. 3. Children with a height of 1.2 meters (inclusive) to under 1.5 meters: Purchase tickets at half the boat ticket counter price, requiring a separate seat. Note: When adults purchase tickets, they must also provide the identity information of accompanying children and purchase tickets together. The number of boat seats is limited, and boarding on-site does not guarantee the ability to purchase supplementary tickets; if the child's ticket is not purchased in advance, resulting in the inability to board normally, the relevant responsibility shall be borne by the tourists themselves. 4. Preferential ticket standards for Fubo Hill and Diecai Hill Scenic Areas: (Please purchase at the scenic area ticket window)
Scope of Half-Price Tickets:
(1) Minors aged 6 (exclusive) to 18 (inclusive); full-time undergraduate and below students (including inbound students from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, etc., excluding adult education, self-study exams, and graduate students);
(2) Nationwide seniors aged 60 to 64 and below.
Scope of Free Tickets:
(1) Active duty soldiers of the People's Republic of China, retired soldiers, revolutionary disabled soldiers, and family members of martyrs with valid certificates;
(2) Retired cadres and disabled persons with valid certificates;
(3) Nationwide seniors aged 65 and above;
(4) Children under 6 years old (inclusive) or under 1.2 meters in height, accompanied by a guardian;

5.
